The lodge and cabins are nestled in to a lush and diverse landscape of trees, subtropical gardens, native forest, woodland, wetlands and birds that is enjoyed by independent travellers and bicycle tourists from New Zealand and around the world
The Tree House is a retreat style eco lodge catering for up to 20 independent travellers - its gardens inspired by permaculture principles and surrounded by regenerating native bush and wetlands.
The fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities are in the main lodge and are shared by all guests. The cabins, tent sites and car park are linked to the main building by natural outdoor paths and stairs. Cabins and rooms are heated in winter. Eftpos and credit card facilities, email and telephone are available.
Save up to $9 per person per night on accommodation at The Tree House:
- Save $4 per person per night by providing your own sleeping bag, duvet or top sheet.
- Save $5 per person per night by presenting your BBH Card on payment for your bed or room.
- For example a BBH Cardholder with own sleeping bag will pay $23 instead of $32 for a dorm bed. BBH Cardholderswith own sleeping bags will pay $64 instead of $82 for a twin or double room.
Bed Prices:
- Prices are per person and include GST
- Beds are made up with bottom sheets, top bedding (duvets with clean, freshly washed covers), pillows and pillowcases.
- Guests bring own towels or hire for $3 per towel.
- Enquire about prices for booking groups of family or friends. The Tree House can accommodate groups of up to 15 people.
The Hilltop Cabin has two rooms.Each room can accommodate up to 3 people. The whole cabin (2 rooms) can be booked for a group of 2 to 6 people. Ask about group prices.
Room 1: 3 single beds (1 single bed and 1 double bunk)
Room 2: 2 beds (1 double bed and 1 top bunk)
1 room with double bed, desk and chair.
The Pond Cabin can be rented as a double or single room.
1 room with double bed, desk and chair.
The Brook Cabin can be rented as a double or single room.
Room 1: 4 beds (2 double bunks).
Room 2: 3 beds (1 double bunk and 1 single bed).
Each room can be rented as a dorm room for up to 3 or 4 people, or as a twin share room. Both rooms can be booked together for a group of 4-7 people.
This camping ground is in a secluded grassy area surrounded by trees. It is foot access only with a short walk from the car park. There is one powered site for a small campervan in the car park.

Confirm a Reservation at The Tree House by Paying a Deposit
- Contact our office by telephone or email to confirm availability and make a reservation. If we have availability we will inform you of the price of accommodation.
- Confirm the reservation by paying a deposit of 20% of the total cost of your stay. This deposit can be paid by Visa or Mastercard through Paymate Express or by direct deposit via internet banking.
North Hokianga Enterprises Limited 03 0334 0171088 00 - Reservations of 2 or more rooms, for high seasons and peak periods or extended stays may require a deposit equivalent to 50% to 100% of the price of the stay.
- Your booking is not confirmed until we have contacted you to say that your deposit has been received.
- Cancellation Policy: On cancellation of a booking, deposits are not refundable, however the deposit can be transferred to another reservation made within 6 months of the cancellation.
Confirm a Reservation by Telephone with Visa or Mastercard
- Contact our office by telephone +64 9 405 5855 to confirm availability and make a reservation. If we have availability we will inform you of the price of accommodation.
- Confirm the reservation by giving our office your name and Visa and Mastercard details. We will also ask you for your telephone number.
- If your Visa or Mastercard expires before arrival date, the reservation will need to be confirmed again with a new expiry date.
- Cancellation Policy: A cancellation/amendment to a reservation (or an existing stay) or a No Show can result in a cancellation fee charged equivalent to one night's tariff or 20% to 100% of the price of the entire stay, at the discretion of the management.

- Register online at www.bbh.co.nz. Reservation is confirmed by your BBH Registration id 5 digit number. Pay with Visa or Mastercard. No deposit required for BBH Cardholders.
- Cancellation Policy: You can cancel your booking up to 24 hours before day of arrival. Small cancellation fees apply. See BBH web site for details.
